I had looked around at the time of needing to buy a bath mat and dish rack for different things. I wanted something that wouldn’t mold and was easy to clean. I heard about Dorai products from a tiktok video I think. I was interested but couldn’t really find any reviews, so here is mine.
Product: | Dish Pad | Bath Stone Mat |
Length Owned: | 1.5 Years | 1.5 Years |
Price: | $90 | $90 |
Mold: | Yes | No |
Quality: | I do not like the way this product held up. The stones look dirty now, I have used the sandpaper to clean them. The silicone gets mold on them. | This product does what it says it does. However, within the first month of owning it, it got a crack in it. |
Recommend: | No | Yes |
Customer Service: | N/a | Great, they sent me a replacement stone. |
Cleaning: | Annoying, you have to cleaning the silicone separately from the stone. Even with the sand paper it doesn’t look “good as new” | Easy! The sandpaper does work for this product and you don’t have to use it very often. But after a year it doesn’t look new (of course). |
Bath Stone Mat
Quality: The bath stone within the first month of owning it got a crack in it that went all the way to through. While it has not fully broken since then there has been further breaks in the product.
Experience: Even with the crack in the stone, it is my favorite product. When you step on it and then off it, the water collected does absorb and is gone. There has never been any mold on it. I do prefer this stone over a bath rug. I have never slipped on this stone either, it isn’t slick. They sent me a replacement stone, which I haven’t had to use just yet as the stone even with the increasing number of cracks is still doing a good job.
Recommendation: I would recommend this stone to people.
Images Below: This is the new replacement stone that I have. It looks great new.
Dish Pad
Quality: The dish pad was a letdown. Originally, I was going to buy the drying rack but they were out of stock. I figured this was better than a fabric drying mat. The silicone doesn’t do well with drying the water off. It holds it there and allows mold to grow. I HAVE TO CLEAN THESE STONES EVERYTIME I USE IT and they still do not look clean. I could have just got a cheap plastic drying rack and clean it every week instead, which I did do. When I first purchased it was better at drying, I guess. But long term I regret this purchase.
Mold: Yes, mold on the silicone dish pad, even when I am intentional about drying or cleaning it. Maybe it is me but I think if this product is used normally, this inevitable.
Recommendation: No, I think that you will have less work with a normal drying mat and it will be easier to clean.
